Sharpness
TFT LCDs produce sharper images than most other types of display devices. They don't suffer from blurry images. With a TFT LCD, you can rest assured knowing that it will produce high-definition (HD) images with a superior level of sharpness.
Low Energy Consumption
All display devices consume energy during use. TFT LCDs, however, are recognized for their energy-efficient operation. They consume less energy than most other types of display devices. You can use a TFT LCDs for long periods without fear of it consuming an excessive amount of energy.
Fast Refreshing
Another reason to consider a TFT LCD is fast refreshing. Display devices must refresh to change their images. The speed at which a display device refreshes will determine the smoothness of images. TFT LCDs offer fast refreshing. They can refresh faster than traditional LCDs, resulting in super-smooth images.
High Cost
While they aren't necessarily expensive, TFT LCDs cost more than most other types of display devices. You can expect to pay more for a TFT LCD than a traditional LCD. The cost of a TFT LCD can vary depending on dozens of factors. The screen size, for instance, will affect its price. Nonetheless, TFT LCDs cost more than traditional LCDs.
Requires Separate Backlighting
TFT LCDs don't feature self-illuminating pixels. As a result, they require separate backlighting. Backlighting is needed to illuminate the liquid pixels within a TFT LCD. TFT LCDs feature a layer of liquid pixels. Directly behind this pixel layer is the backlighting. When the TFT LCD is turned on, the backlighting will project light through the pixel layer while illuminating the liquid pixels.
TN (Twisted Nematic) Type
The TN type TFT LCD display is one of the oldest and lowest cost type of LCD display technology. TN TFT LCD displays have the advantages of fast response times, but its main advantages are poor color reproduction and narrow viewing angles. Colors will shift with the viewing angle. To make things worse, it has a viewing angle with gray scale inversion issue. Scientist and engineers took great effort trying to resolve the main genetic issues. Now, TN displays can look significantly better than older TN displays from decades earlier, but overall TN TFT LCD display has inferior viewing angles and poor color in comparison to other TFT LCD technologies.
IPS (In-plane switching) Type
IPS TFT LCD display was developed by Hitachi Ltd. in 1996 to improve on the poor viewing angle and the poor color reproduction of TN panels. Its name comes from its in-cell twist/switch difference compared with TN LCD panels. The liquid crystal molecules move parallel to the panel plane instead of perpendicular to it. This change reduces the amount of light scattering in the matrix, which gives IPS its characteristic of much improved wide viewing angles and color reproduction. But IPS TFT display has the disadvantages of lower panel transmission rate and higher production cost compared with TN type TFT displays, but these flaws can’t prevent it to be used in high end display applications which need superior color, contrast, viewing angle and crispy images.
MVA (Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment) Type
The mono-domain VA technology is widely used for monochrome LCD displays to provide pure black background and better contrast, its uniformly alignment of the liquid crystal molecules makes the brightness changing with the viewing angle.
MVA solves this problem by causing the liquid crystal molecules to have more than one direction on a single pixel. This is done by dividing the pixel into two or four regions – called domains – and by using protrusions on the glass surfaces to pretilt the liquid crystal molecules in the different directions. In this way, the brightness of the LCD display can be made to appear uniform over a wide range of viewing angles.
AFFS (Advanced Fringe Field Switching) Type
This is an LCD technology derived from the IPS by Boe-Hydis of Korea. Known as fringe field switching (FFS) until 2003, advanced fringe field switching is a technology similar to IPS offering superior performance and color gamut with high luminosity. Color shift and deviation caused by light leakage is corrected by optimizing the white gamut, which also enhances white/grey reproduction.

TFT displays offer exceptional aspect ratio control
Aspect ratio control contributes to better image clarity and quality by mapping out the number of pixels that are in the source image compared to the resolution pixels on the screen.
Monitor ghosting doesn't occur on TFT displays
This is when a moving image or object has blurry pixels following it across the screen, resembling a ghost.
TFT displays are incredibly versatile
The offer a number of different interface options that are compatible with various devices and accommodate the technical capabilities of all users.

Liquid Crystal Layer
The liquid crystal layer is the layer of the LCD that contains the liquid crystals. The liquid crystals are made of materials such as nematic or cholesteric. The liquid crystals are arranged in a specific pattern. The most common patterns are twist nematic (TN), super twisted nematic (STN), and in-plane switching (IPS). The liquid crystals are aligned with the electric field and are controlled by the voltage applied to the electrodes.
Cover Glass
The cover glass protects the LCD from damage and provides a surface on which the user can interact with the display.TFT LCDs use two types of cover glass. Rigid cover glass is made of either soda-lime glass or Gorilla Glass. Flexible cover glass is used in some TFT LCDs, such as those used in mobile phones. The flexible cover glass is more resistant to breakage than rigid cover glass, making it ideal for use in portable devices.
Backlight Unit
The backlight is the layer of the LCD that emits light. Backlights can be made up of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), an electroluminescent panel (ELP), cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs), and hot cathode fluorescent lamps (HCFLs), or external electrode fluorescent lamps (EEFLs).
Touchscreen
The touchscreen is an optional part of the display module that allows the user to interact with the display. A touchscreen is a layer of glass that is coated with a material that is sensitive to pressure. When the user presses on the touchscreen, the pressure is registered and converted into an electrical signal. There are various types of touchscreens available including capacitive touchscreens, resistive touchscreens, and surface acoustic wave touchscreens.
Bezel
The bezel is another optional part of the display module. It is used to protect the display module from damage.
Driver IC
The driver IC is responsible for driving the TFT LCD panel. It converts digital signals into analog signals that can be used by the TFT LCD panel.

Cleaning process filtration
Before the production of glass substrates begins, it is necessary to remove foreign substances with physical, chemical, and electrical characteristics that can affect film formation, as well as dust, oil, and natural oxide particles that adhere to the surface of the substrate. This provides a clean film layer and a clean texture for subsequent production. In addition, it can also remove dust and foreign matter on the surface after film formation.
Film formation process filtration
The film-forming process can be categorized into two main methods. The first method is sputtering metal film deposition, which involves bombarding the material's surface with charged particles. This process provides sufficient energy for the atoms to enter the gas phase and then deposit onto the surface of the workpiece. Inert gases, such as argon, are typically used in this method. The second method involves the deposition of non-metallic films using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technology.
Lithography process filtration
Photolithography process consists of four parts: washing, coating, exposure and development. In the photolithography process of thin film transistors, each step may introduce harmful particle contamination, microbubble void defects and metal contamination on the surface of the glass substrate, so the cleaning process is essential.Coating, exposure, and development are crucial steps in lithography. During this process, a light-sensitive photoresist is coated onto a glass substrate.
Etching Process Filtration
The etching process is used to remove the film layer that is not masked by photoresist in order to obtain the same pattern on both the film and the photoresist. There are two methods of etching: wet etching and dry etching. Wet etching involves using a solution with chemical reactions, while dry etching utilizes gas and plasma technology for material etching.
Avoid vibration
The TFT-LCD for Consumer Electronics LCD screen is very fragile. Avoid strong shocks and vibrations. Do not put pressure on the LCD screen or bump or squeeze it on the LCD screen back cover.
Avoid using the screen for a long time
Long-term work is not a good thing forTFT-LCD for Consumer Electronics. If you are not using it, you must turn off the power of the display. For the same reason, use wallpapers and screen savers with caution when using the TFT-LCD for Consumer Electronics. Most wallpapers and screen saver programs have bright colors, and the contrast between light and dark changes is strong. Long-term use will distort the LCD color and affect the life of the LCD display. Therefore, it is better to use a monochrome screen and cancel the screen saver when using the TFT-LCD for Consumer Electronics.
Prevent electromagnetic interference
Whether it is a CRT or TFT LCD display, keep it away from objects with strong magnetic fields. The strong magnetic field around it will cause extra voltage inside the display, which will affect the stability of the display voltage. Being in a strong magnetic field for a long time will also cause color distortion, which will affect the display effect and life of the LCD.
Pay attention to humidity
Do not allow any moisture to enter the LCD. If the humidity in the room is too high, condensation may occur inside the LCD, resulting in leakage and short circuit of the LCD, and serious damage to the display. For some southern regions with high humidity, the LCD can be placed in a warmer and dry place, or the back of the LCD screen can be baked regularly with a low-power desk lamp to allow the water in it to evaporate.
